"Kalida" is an ancient Roman story that wants to capture the essence and culture of the gypsy spirit, oscillating between two sincere and touching love stories.<\/strong>
\nThe play discusses essential themes of Roma culture, such as fear of God, love and respect for family, chastity, spiritual and physical purity and respect for Gypsy laws.
\nThe protagonists of these two beautiful love stories are four young people who fight for their love while trying not to deviate from the cultural traditions and beliefs in which they were formed.
\nKalida and Rasha, two young and beautiful sisters, orphaned by both parents, grow up under the careful care and supervision of their grandmother, Anica. Having reached the age of marriage, love makes its way and disturbs the peace of the home. While Rasha loves a sincere boy of Romanian ethnicity and is a tributary of family values, Kalida deviates from these values by falling in love with a Romanian. This bravery generates a series of comic and dramatic adventures, but which enjoy a happy ending.
\nThe play oscillates between comic and dramatic passages that lend dynamism, sensitivity and the essential measure of humor.
